Sunset after the harvest

Walking around the Oxfordshire countryside during the recent hot weather the glorious golden fields were a sight to behold. With spectacular sunsets setting off the reds and yellows, turning off the light after the toil of the day.Sunset after the harvest.jpg

Brilliant night at private view

A big thank you to everyone for coming along to the private view last night. It was lovely to see you all and great to be able to talk about the work.

Here is a fantastic photo my buddy Nicollette took that shows how much young Jasper has grown since I painted him and his mum. So many loving comments and a few tears. Jasper and jo now.jpg

Day trip completed

I needed to play around with the colours for a while as the photograph this portrait came from was black and white. With old colour photographs, red is always the first colour to degrade so I decided to use red sparingly hopefully keeping the images aged look.

I took it to show my mother, the lady in this portrait,  a few days ago and she burst into tears, she remembered the day with fondness and of course her favourite dog.
